Last week CaravanCloud had the pleasure of attending the Motorhome & Caravan Show at the NEC in Birmingham. The country’s largest display of motor homes, caravans, camper vans and camping accessories all under one roof! Naturally, we were super excited to see what the best of the industry had to offer and discover any new opportunities for CaravanCloud.
Our managing director, Connor, had visited the show previously but it’s been over two years since the last show due to COVID restrictions. With dealerships, manufacturers and spectators setting off for Birmingham, the build up to the show had been felt everywhere across social media by all those planning to attend. Spanning across eleven halls, the sheer scale of the show was immense! And we could see why it had been such an anticipated event for those waiting to experience it.
The atmosphere of the show was incredible. We had such a fun time exploring the halls as a team, looking for inspiration and gathering fun content! There were some inspiring brands in attendance showcasing the latest motor homes, caravans and leisure vehicles. Manufactures such as Compass, Rapido, Pilote, Hymer, Adria and Knaus brought the absolute best of their stock and we seized the opportunity to step inside their vehicles and experience as much as we could during our visit.
One of our favourites of the show was the Hymer Venture S. An absolute beast of a motor home fully equipped for off-road adventures. Seeing cool vehicles like this in person really got us thinking of the possibilities and freedom that come with owning a campervan – however, the Hymer’s £225k price tag means it’s going to have to stay on the wish list…for now!
As well as exploring the vehicles, equipment and camping accessories, we had the opportunity to network with industry experts. The dealerships and manufacturer representatives worked tirelessly for the duration of the show; answering questions and naturally endeavouring to sell to prospective customers. Building relationships and making new connections was one of our top priorities for our first trade show as a team, as we are always seeking out new opportunities for CaravanCloud.
In short, the NEC Motorhome & Caravan Show was a huge success for CaravanCloud. We were able to experience the show as a team, collect fun content and inspiration, show our newest team member, Mollie, what a caravan show looks like and network with some amazing people! We have some very exciting news coming soon as a result of our day out and we can’t wait to share it!
